Sustainability Team, International Regeneration Team, and Packaging Team to align on the key messaging and education for Sourcing suppliers. The messaging and education for Sourcing suppliers is based on the Walmart Inc. goals and what we expect Sourcing suppliers to focus on to achieve our goals. Sourcing suppliers are held to a higher standard and have specific commodity, packaging, and plastic reduction goals that must be communicated. The Sourcing Regeneration Team is also responsible for surveying Sourcing suppliers to determine where they are at on their Regeneration journey. These surveys further facilitate the messaging and education the Team delivers to ensure Sourcing suppliers are accountable to our Sustainability and Regeneration goals.We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced

Director, Sourcing - Regeneration , to join our dynamic team. As the Director, you will play a critical role in developing complex sourcing strategies for our regeneration initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional business partners to drive sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving positive change in the sourcing industry.What you'll do:Own the Sourcing Regeneration Strategy for communicating and educating our Sourcing suppliers based on the Walmart Inc. Regeneration & Sustainability initiatives.Lead a team of three Sr. Managers who are each responsible for an SBU supplier base e.g., Food, Consumables & H/W, and GM.Responsible for the Sourcing supplier training strategy at an SBU level to educate suppliers on the importance of Regenerative practices and the strategy to support Sourcing suppliers who are not meeting expectations.Surveying suppliers on their Regenerative Lead the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies for our regeneration initiatives.Serve as a subject-matter expert for sourcing commodities and items that align with our regeneration goals.Lead the communication and capability development trainings to our supplier partners and internal stakeholders on our regeneration priorities.Influence internal and external business partners to prioritize and implement innovative sourcing practices that support our sustainability commitments.Evaluate potential suppliers based on performance metrics and long-term potential, negotiating contracts to obtain products at the most competitive and sustainable costs.Calculate and understand the cost impacts of commodities/products' initial mark-up, tracking awarded cost against actual cost through advanced tracking systems.Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships with a focus on long-term partnerships and business continuity.Assess and enhance supplier production, distribution, and technological capabilities to ensure reliable and sustainable supply.Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects, identifying and overcoming barriers, and championing a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability.Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Promote and exemplify company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, and integrity.Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our regeneration initiatives.Collaborate with business partners, managers, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and community engagement.You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have:Passion for sustainability with proven leadership skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.Deep knowledge of ESG principles and relevant reporting frameworks with excellent training skills on regeneration topics.Excellent communication and people skills to effectively articulate and promote sustainable sourcing practices.Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on sustainability and regeneration initiatives.Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships effectively.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.Proficiency in using sourcing tools and systems, as well as advanced tracking and reporting systems.A passion for sustainability, environmental stewardship, and driving positive change in the sourcing industry.We would love for you to have:Bachelor's degree in business administration, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field (master's degree preferred).Join our team and help us make a meaningful impact on our regeneration initiatives.
