As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good.You Have:5+ years of experience as a cloud security engineer, DevSecOps engineer, or software engineer3+ years of experience with containerization, including Docker, Podman Buildah, AWS EKS, ECR, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, or OpenShiftExperience with Terraform, AWS, CI tools, including Jenkins, Tekton, CircleCI, GitlabCI, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions and programming languages, including Python or GolangExperience with policy-as-code solutions, including Checkov, Open Policy Agent, or Trivy IaC scanningExperience with developing and implementing custom scalable platform engineering or security solutions across multi-region cloud and hybrid environmentsExperience with software and cloud architectural design patterns, including Queue-based load leveling, API Composition, Backend for Frontends, API Gateways, or MicroservicesKnowledge of key cloud native application concepts, including 12 factor apps, migration strategies, or immutabilityAbility to work across multiple operating systems and technology stacks in an Agile environment with multiple cross-functional teamsAbility to obtain a Secret clearanceBachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience with Cloud, DevOps, or Software in lieu of a degreeNice If You Have:Experience in resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues in established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA)Cloud Certification, including AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Networking, AWS Machine Learning, AWS Security, Certified DevSecOps Professional from Practical DevSecOps or GIAC Cloud Security AutomationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.
