Overview:Blue Yonder has the ideal opportunity for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Azure Cloud based Data Platform Team. We are seeking an individual that has a strong technical foundation and understanding in Java, REST APIs, Microservices, Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, Kafka, Event Hubs, Elasticsearch, Snowflake.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develops quality software (including effective test code) according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.Provides input for the prioritization of issues in the backlog and autonomously pulls issues or supports other team members as appropriate.Participates in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Translates business requirements to user stories and actively seeks feedback from stakeholders.Takes the lead in designs of individual stories and translates the design to subtasks.Considers aspects of information security while coding and reviewing others' code.Keeps up to date with technology and researches latest trends in the industry.Is perceived as the expert in a small area and is the go-to person for related implementational and operational issues.Actively provides feedback during code reviews.Onboards new members to the team and helps develop junior engineers.Understands functional and technical requirements of software components.Participates in team hiring activities.Additions for service-delivering teams
Designs services to be self-healing and to offer self-service capabilities from the ground up to achieve minimum manual intervention.Seeks out the root cause of incidents and inspires improvements in a blameless fashion.Strives for smooth migration paths, in particular for breaking changes.Considers operational costs even in early design stages and incorporates it as a factor into the decision-making process.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering (STEM preferred) or equivalent is required.Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience as a software developer with ReactJS is REQUIRED.Industry experience in supply chain management is a big plus.Strong knowledge of Cloud technologies like Azure, GitHub, DevOps, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is REQUIRED.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are necessary.The salary range for this position is $130,023 - $163,977.The salary range information provided reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses, and other relevant factors.
