Houston, Texas.

The successful candidate will have a background in both Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability business and IT. The candidate will have a background in data design & data modeling for consumption in company data warehouse and extraction of data from source systems. We're looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated individual who can support the business with the technical issues identified during system integrations.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage technical changes as needed for upgrades on SaaS and on-premise systems.Liaise with business groups to develop IT solutions and troubleshoot software application defects and understand needs for product enhancements.Develop long-term product roadmap in collaboration with business and overall IT organization.Manage system integrations with in-house and external applications.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Able to independently resolve issues and efficiently self-direct work activities based on the ability to capture, organize, and analyze information.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related degree with an environmental or safety focus.Experience leading EHS software implementations, including design workshops, development, testing, data migration and post-go-live support.7+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2019.5+ years of experience working with Oracle and SQL databases.3+ years of HSE technologies.Experience with Quality Assurance Testing (QA), User-Acceptance Testing (UAT), software deployment and post-Go-Live support.Project management, audit controls, stakeholder engagement and process documentation.Familiarity with project execution methodologies including SDLC/Waterfall, AGILE.Familiarity with Middleware technologies (TIBCO, BizTalk etc.).Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.Desired Qualifications:Familiarity with Environment, Health and Safety Applications (e.g.: Intelex, Essential Suite, Enablon, Intelex’s ACTS).Familiarity with common HSE processes such as Incident Management, Audit/Inspections Management, Action Plans, Regulatory Compliance Management, Air Quality, or Risk Management.Understanding of O&G Operations data management.Experience with AWS and Azure.Experience with mobile Web-forms.Experience with data-visualization tools such as Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau.Knowledge of Oil and Gas upstream processes.Understanding of security settings and structure including functional groups, permission groups, and application security.Relocation will not be provided.Occidental does not offer sponsorship of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for this role.Occidental is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
