Our internal and external systems are an integrated suite of collaborative supply chain software applications that are designed to assist our operations teams and customers in managing international and domestic shipping challenges. This position is a part of our Cartage team, which focuses on building and sustaining our proprietary web application that supports short haul truck dispatches, the first and final portions of a transportation transaction.What you will be doing:Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission-critical, enterprise-scale business systemsTranslating requirements into system design specifications and implementing systems throughout the entire software development life cycleDeveloping a thorough understanding of the logistics business domainMaintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a wholeInfluencing the design and technical direction of the systemThis position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
