Lead Software Engineer - Adobe (AEP)

H&R Block is seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP), and Journey Optimizer (AJO). The candidate will play a pivotal role in providing advice and technical expertise to implement AEP solutions, ensuring a seamless integration of AEP, RT-CDP, and AJO with key internal applications and processes. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to understand both technical and business requirements, driving successful delivery and building excellent experience for H&R Block clients.
Provide technical implementation expertise on AEP, RT-CDP, and AJO and make recommendations on solution architecture, design, and roadmap.
Configure AEP services, including Identity Service, Data Storage Layer, Profile dataset, and Real-time Customer Profile.
Implement data ingestion from various sources using APIs, Experience Data Model (XDM), schemas, and mappers.
Implement Journey Optimizer features such as journey orchestration, triggers, automations, actions, messages, and offers.
Develop custom applications, workflows, and APIs to extend the platform based on stakeholder's needs.
Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure the quality and stability of implementations.
Understand business objectives and align AEP solutions to meet business goals.
Continuously expand knowledge and expertise in these platforms to provide valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Mentor junior members of the team.
What you'll bring to the team...
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
8 years total IT experience
2+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Platform, RT-CDP and AJO, with 6+ years of overall experience in Digital marketing and campaign management.
Strong SQL skills for querying datasets, implementing data transformations, cleansing data, etc.
Deep familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform technical implementations, including setting up source connectors, configuring Experience Events (XDM schemas), creating audience segments, triggering journeys, and integrating with destinations.
Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and SQL.
Experience automating technical tasks using tools like API integration tests, Postman for API testing, and Git for source control.
Digital marketing experience, with Martech platforms implementation (Adobe/SFMC) from solution design to implementation.
Expertise in RDBMS databases such as Azure SQLDB.
Logical Programming knowledge, with either JS/Python/PHP, comfortable with HTML/CSS.
Strong ability to partner and effectively work across the organization with line of business and technology colleagues.

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.
Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
