This position is located in the Special Counsel and Labor Relations Office of the National Labor Relations Board. The primary purpose of the position is to provide professional and expert labor and employment relations services to the Agency under the various components of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, as amended, and related statutory and regulatory provisions governing other aspects of Federal sector employment.Duties

Legal Administrative Specialist,
GS - 0901 - 13 , your typical work assignments may include:Drafting responses to grievances; procuring court reporters and arbitrators; preparing Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) files for filing and filing documents for attorneys in matters before Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / MSPB; assisting in obtaining documentation for discovery; and providing technical support at all arbitrations / EEO / MSPB / Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) hearings (i.e. printing exhibits, managing witness procurement / attendance / participation).Addressing highly contentious issues that require frequent interaction with individuals who are skeptical, hostile and/or uncooperative.Providing guidance and advice to management on the implementation and application of negotiated agreements.Advising supervisory staff on proposed resolutions of labor relations matters.Establishing and maintaining effective relations with local and national representatives of the NLRB's unions and with Agency managers and supervisors, with full consideration of the bilateral nature of labor relations.Salary
$117,962 - $153,354/yearConditions of Employment

To qualify for this position, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Legal Administrative Specialist at the GS-13 grade level.Specialized experience includes:Experience advising on labor-management relations and collective bargaining matters, or concerns or other comparable experience;Experience developing or adapting internal office procedures to coordinate and control the flow of cases and other activities in the office;Experience gathering, organizing, presenting information and/or documents to interested stakeholders.This experience
