With its unique ability to measure instantaneous velocity for each pixel, and long-range performance at high resolutions, while being free from LiDAR or sunlight interference, Aeva’s 4D LiDAR is built from the ground up at silicon photonics scale for mass-market applications.Role Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Aeva’s Software Quality Strategy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of software quality and reliability in our products.What you'll do:Lead and manage quality assurance activities throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) standards.Develop, implement, and maintain software quality assurance processes and methodologies to meet Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) requirements.Conduct regular audits and assessments of software processes and work products to ensure compliance to industry standards and company policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, systems engineering, and project management to define and implement quality assurance strategies.Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for software-related cybersecurity and functional safety risks.Prepare and present detailed reports on software quality metrics, audit findings, and improvement plans to senior management.Participate in customer and third-party audits, ensuring successful outcomes and addressing any findings.Provide coaching and training to junior quality engineers and cross-functional team members, promoting organizational growth and competence.Lead initiatives to instill a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.What you'll have:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.A minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance within the automotive industry.Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process assessments and improvements.Proven expertise in Cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) for automotive applications.Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, software testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is highly desirable.Certified Quality Management Systems auditor (e.g., ISO 9001) or ASPICE assessor.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables effectively.Nice to haves:Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is highly desirable.Working experience with Jira, Confluence, and JAMA is a plus.What's in it for you:Be part of a fast-paced and dynamic teamVery competitive compensation and meaningful stock grantsExceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and moreUnlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching time cards$132,400 - $179,200 a yearSalary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
