Astarte Industries is at the forefront of tactical shooter game development, and we are on the lookout for a talented Senior Unreal Engine Developer/Programmer to join our passionate team. Our current project, Bellum, is a First-Person Military Tactical Shooter set in the near future, designed to push the boundaries of realism and immersive gameplay.Role Overview

As a Senior Unreal Engine Developer/Programmer at Astarte Industries, you will be a key player in turning our design vision for Bellum into reality. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring the seamless integration of features across platforms. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a groundbreaking title and work alongside some of the best talent in the industry.Key Responsibilities

Gameplay Development:

• Design and implement gameplay systems and features using Unreal Engine and C++.• Analyze and improve game performance on PC, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions.• Work closely with designers, artists, and other departments to ensure gameplay systems meet the creative and technical requirements.• Oversee the development process, focusing on deliverability, creative freedom, and community-driven development.• Write clean, performant, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and contributing to their improvement.• Work with Feature Owners and Team Leads to deliver outstanding results.• Provide guidance to junior programmers, recognizing teaching opportunities, and contributing to their professional growth.• Strive to improve development efficiency, bring new ideas, build pipelines, and evolve our production techniques.Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience as a game programmer.• Strong experience in developing FPS titles.• Proven track record of shipping at least one title on PC or console.• Experience across different stages of development: concept phase, preproduction, production, and release.Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Unreal Engine and C++.• Familiarity with command-line tools and operations.• Experience with modern software engineering practices such as peer reviews, CI/CD, and testing.Soft Skills:

• Creative problem-solver with strong analytical and project management skills.• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.• High standard of performance, teamwork and collaboration.Preferred (but not required):

• Willingness to relocate to Scottsdale, AZ, relocation support will be provided.Why Astarte Industries?
