NAMI San Diego & Imperial Counties (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides free education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental illnesses.
Primary Responsibilities/Function:
The Data Specialist will manage and maintain the data management system used by NAMI SD/IC's Clubhouse programs. This includes, but is not limited to entering information in HMIS Clarity and ClubHOMS; completing month service reports, quarterly service reports, and inventory; and assisting the team members with data entry of Clubhouse member files. The Data Specialist will also track data-related issues, problems, and performance metrics for reporting purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collects and oversees all data for the Clubhouse, the outreach program and the shower and laundry program.
Collects and reports data, and assists Program Manager in monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Responsible for all client data reporting on all data entry systems required by various funding streams.
Assists Program Manager in insuring that all Clubhouse staff are up to date in data entry and training as needed.
Manages and updates all member profiles. Creation of member ID badges.
Responsible for subscription management and training and troubleshooting of Zoom, ClubHOMS, HMIS Clarity, and other subscriptions that are essential to the Clubhouse.
Responsible for all initial troubleshooting of Wi-Fi, printer, and technology devices and all other technology-related incidents in the office.
Creates internal documents to be used as universal standards in the department and assists Program Manager in developing and revising documents as needed.
Responsible for inventory pertaining to all Clubhouse funding streams. This includes coordination of the location of all devices, identification when they are no longer functioning, and completion of DPC forms for programs as needed.
Assists Program Manager in onboarding by the dedication of new devices and office supplies, preparing key and ID badges, and assisting as needed to train and refine data entry skills of all personnel.
Develops and implements in-person and remote internships for students. Coordinates all interns to achieve their respective educational goals.
Develops and implements technology-based classes for members to ensure computer literacy for Tech CAFE participants.
Oversees data or clerical unit working side-by-side with members to complete the Work-Ordered Day.
Serves as the technology admin of the Clubhouse with the assistance of the Director of IT.
Other duties as assigned.
Accountability:
Reports to Program Manager.

Minimum Requirements, including linguistic and cultural skills, education, experiences, licenses and certifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
A minimum of 2 years' experience working with adults with serious mental illnesses (SMI) and co-occurring disorders.
A satisfactory driving record and a reliable vehicle.
Excellent writing skills.
Computer proficient in Outlook, Microsoft 360, Excel.
Fluency in English required, fluency in Spanish or other threshold language preferred.
Prefer lived mental health experience for self.
