The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Data Analyst is responsible for data mining, analysis, and statistical reporting of data to support operations, research, and regulatory requirements using structured query language. May also be responsible for user training/support, application support and automation of business processes.SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in information management, statistics, finance and/or healthcare related field; or combination of equivalent training/education and experience.Two years experience in data mining, extraction, analysis, and reporting using structured query language, analyzer, data and report writing tools such as MS Query Analyzer/SQL Enterprise Manager, PL/SQL, Aqua Data, Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services.Additional Qualifications for Data Analyst II:
Meets all requirements of Data Analyst I in addition to the following:One year experience in using healthcare coding schemes and/or financial coding schemesAdditional Qualifications for Data Analyst III: Meets all requirements of Data Analyst II in addition to the following:Master’s Degree with a focus in information management, statistics, healthcare related field; or equivalent training/education and experience.One year of experience using statistical software such as SPSS, SAS or other analysis tools.One year experience in using healthcare coding schemes and/or financial coding schemes.Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.Employee Health Requirements:Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
