It is our innovative arm for business process automation and whether the automation is applied during the creation of filing for new products, the new policy issue stage, or policy owner services with improving customer service, the efficiencies that automation brings benefits both customers and our colleagues in our operations departments. As a Senior Pega Developer, you will join a team with diverse levels of experience. The varying levels of experience allow a true collaborative learning environment in how we approach getting work done. Our team uses Pega cloud and the work you do will impact the development cycle from creating efficiencies in the interpretation of the business requirements, solutioning, coding the solution, testing it and then ultimately implementing it for the business. In this role, you will have a hands-on approach in working in a collaborative, agile team in the execution of the application design and also in sharing best practices with the team. This position has the ability to be either in our downtown Cincinnati location, or 100% remote wherever you may reside in the US.
Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Pega Developer, you will have impact on the organization through the below responsibilities:
Developing within an agile scrum team along other Pega team members to build innovative business automation solutions
Prepares detailed design user and technical flows.
Designs, codes, tests, and debugs work items.
Collaborates with the Architecture Team for design approvals
Consults with operational users or other IT Professionals to resolve production issues
Provides estimates for planned work.
Maintains and develops business knowledge and customer relationships.
May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in Pega PRPC Application Development
Pega Certified System Architect certification (CSA)
Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills
Experience in Java and/or .NET development
Ability to create and explain technical design flows
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Pega Certified Senior System Architect certification (CSSA)
Experience with Pega version 8.4 and above
Experience working within a Scrum team
Experience with Rally or Jira
Knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and XML
