DescriptionSAIC is seeking an
Space Systems Analyst
with technical expertise in government satellite systems
to support theMission Analysis team within the Advanced Plans branch of the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division.The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires anactive
TS/SCI with Polygraph .
SE&I provides technical and programmatic support to define technical spacecraft and ground systems requirements, define a coherent acquisition strategy, and initiate major contracts with industry partners. The position requires that a successful candidate demonstrate a technical understanding of
clock and timing algorithms and methods ,
geolocation algorithm development and analysis ,
oscillators , and a
working knowledge of RF systems .
The following tasks are representative of those that will be accomplished at the request of the customer:
Assess timing and phase noise requirements and performance associated with SIGINT data delivery
Provide support to launch and satellite on-orbit test as required by the customer
Plan and execute internal and external interface testing to support final system verification, validation, and delivery
Develop productive relationships with prime contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other payload and ground system subject matter experts
Support the customer in the oversight of the development and documentation of the specifications associated with his or her assigned area
Review complex technical design documentation and provide formal and informal feedback to the COTR, subject matter experts, and other customer personnel
Participate in requirement sell off events to ensure program success
Liaise with mission analysis and acquisition teams to ensure completeness across the acquisition
QualificationsClearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance with a Poly.
Required Education:
Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; or a Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; or a PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
Required Experience:
Knowledge of SIGINT mission fundamentals.
Technical understanding of SIGINT architectures and Intelligence Community (IC) ground architectures.
Understanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architectures.
Experience with DOD/IC acquisition and program management processes.
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent DSP development and analysis tools.
Available to travel domestically.
Desired Experience:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
