CBP Off ice of Trade is the architect of the most robust customs system in the world and the second largest revenue source for the U.S. Government. Our expertise in the trade community allows us to lead the development of streamlined and efficient processes that provide certainty for legitimate importers, while combatting transnational crime. This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, Regulations and Rulings (RR), Communications and Business Branch.DutiesReviews, analyzes, and prioritizes all incoming and outgoing internal and interagency tasking deliverables and correspondence.Using web content management systems to provide analytical advice and research-based recommendations for communication across program off ice with compelling and accurate content, monitoring day-to-day content updates, and coordinating with other Web content management contacts across the program and agency. • Plans and conducts special studies, personally or through team members, provides advice to managers, and develops and evaluates policies in assigned program areas.Coordinates activities of office support staff, and also advises and provides analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures.Develops, implements, and monitors sophisticated management information systems that focus on long- and short-range plans, policies, and programs in the direction of goals, objectives, and priorities established by statutes, executive orders, or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.Facilitates the identification of enterprise-wide risks and develops tools, practices, and policies to analyze, report, and manage enterprise risks.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long- and short-range plans and programs in the direction of goals, objectives, and priorities established by leadership.Conducting special studies and providing advice to managers, as well as developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas.Recommending future program objectives and improvements and reviewing, collaborating, analyzing data, and interpreting and applying the content of new or modified regulations for projected impact upon CBP programs.Analyzing organizational risks and implementing risk management processes, to support decision-making.Coordinating briefings, presentations, trainings, and conferences for executive management and staff.Communicating, both orally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical information and analysis of strategic and project level requirements.Application instructions
