The Amazon Devices and Services team designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, Ring, and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

Amazon’s Devices and Services Security team is looking for a senior leader who will be responsible for leading, developing and taking the Device Services Security team to the next level. You will be responsible for the security risk posture for over 20 product families, while enabling the organization to deliver great and secure experiences for our customers. In this role, you will define security requirements, build processes and mechanisms that continue to raise the security bar for Amazon’s consumer products, and develop scalable solutions that meet the business and customer needs. This role will require innovation, as well as the ability to perform security at scale.
Key job responsibilities
As the leader of the Device Services Security team, you will be tasked in setting and executing the security strategic direction for various consumer services, including but not limited to Kindle, Smart Home, Fire tables, and Alexa Skills. You will be responsible for leading a multi-functional and geographically diverse team. You will partner with engineering teams to integrate scalable security tools and controls into everyday work for the entire organization. You will help envision, drive, and scale the programs through innovative process changes across multiple organizations and teams, engaging technical and non-technical people throughout the organization. You will partner and work across disciplines and executives including engineering, marketing, product management, legal, and business. Above all, you feel strongly about protecting customers. Your focus will be to help teams design their systems and customer experiences in a manner that upholds our high bar for customer trust. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or relevant work experience 10+ years of industry experience with hands-on security engineering experience on services 10+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations making security decisions 10+ years managing and building teams (including coaching and mentoring) 10+ years of experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in technical security design or advisory work in support of a highly technical environment Strong project management experience desired for working on cross-functional projects Solid technical background with some demonstrable understanding of cloud services Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
