We're making a difference every day—working for a safer, healthier, and more secure nation and world.Department Summary:MITRE Industrial Security Programs (ISP) oversees the operations of classified facilities and ensures the implementation of operative security controls intended for the protection of unclassified and classified national security information (NSI) developed by or entrusted to MITRE as a member of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The department applies resources to mitigate risk across operational domains through a continuum of security administration standards, control strategies, and oversight levels that align with corporate needs and expectations.Job Description:The Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) will be responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and maintaining an enterprise security program for multiple Department of Defense (DoD) collateral and/or Intelligence Community (IC) elements. The security program will protect information and operations commensurate with the level of classification of the program, e.g., collateral, SCI, SAP, or multi-level.The FSO/CPSO will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accreditation documentation for each facility under his/her cognizance, including UL 2050 certifications, Fixed Facility Checklists, compartmented area Checklists, TEMPEST checklists, and mitigation plans to maintain current government accreditations.The FSO/CPSO will create and implement Concept of Operation (CONOPS) for their assigned facilities in accordance with DoD, NISPOM and Intelligence Community directives.The FSO/CPSO will conduct physical and technical security actions and procedures, and will properly account for, control, transmit, safeguard, and destroy classified information in accordance with applicable regulations.The FSO/CPSO will generate a security education training and awareness program for the technical staff operating in secure spaces within their cognizance.The FSO/CPSO will perform aspects of personnel security including nomination interviews, validation of access requirements, and indoctrinations.The FSO/CPSO is expected to provide support to technical staff planning meetings by helping with coordination and visitor management.The FSO/CPSO will account for, control, transmit, package, and safeguard COMESEC information, and provide assistance to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO).The candidate must be professional, capable of independent engagement, and possess the ability to collaborate with peers and personnel outside of their team.Managing alarm systems and providing/coordinating after hours alarm support.Assisting the local COMSEC account manager for COMSEC policy implementation.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Must have demonstrable experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Concept of Operations (ConOps).Must have experience in Intelligence Special Programs, Program Security, and Collateral Security.Must have experience conducting and managing inspection preparedness and/or participation in government security inspections.Must have experience in JADE, DISS, SIMS, and Scattered Castles.Must have at least 4 years of experience in Industrial or Government Security as FSO & CPSO involving Counterintelligence, Personnel Security, Information Security, and Project Management.Must have evident experience implementing related areas of IC Standards or Directives; DoD Directives, Instructions, Manuals, or Standards.Active Top-Secret with SCI.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years of experience in one or more of the technical areas above.Experience with ICD 705 construction compliance.Experience with SIMS, DISS, JADE, Scattered Castles.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCIThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCISalary compensation range and midpoint:$91,500 - $114,500 - $137,500 AnnualWork Location Type:HybridMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
