This role will have an opportunity to work on a billion dollar problem, drive decisions and roadmaps across the bank, and significantly impact our customers’ financial lives and experience banking with us.
As a Vice President, Strategic Analytics, you will be responsible for various De-Risking and Controls agenda initiatives within the fraud/scams risk area. The successful candidate will join a small, high visibility team. We are seeking a talented self-motivated individual to collaborate with internal partners (including Product, Risk, Technology, Design, Operations, Channels, Marketing, and Line of Business) to prevent and mitigate fraud and scams. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategic problem solver, with strong communication skills and proven capabilities in execution.
Job responsibilities:
Develop strategies with complex projects ranging across existing analytics and new strategies.
Assess, create, and present long term strategies and analytical business cases to senior management and key stakeholders.
Write and execute advanced level SAS or business intelligence code. Develop and maintain reports to track business progress and ensure right controls are in place.
Perform ad hoc assessments to solve key business questions or respond to customer initiatives.
Partner with Fraud Risk, Authentication, Fraud Operations, Account Opening, Payments, Rewards, Channels, Marketing, Data & Analytics, and Lines of Business teams to drive Trust & Security priorities/business requirements related to Scam Prevention, Wrongdoer Prevention, Claims Management.
Coordinate with Technology, Systems, and Operations partners to implement new projects as required. Participate in developing and implementing best practices across the broader team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering (any), Management Information Systems, or related field of study with 2 years of experience.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in analytics, banking, or 5 years of professional experience.
Experience with SQL and Database tools such as Teradata SQL Assistant, Brio, or Business Objects.
Microsoft Office including use of pivot tables, array formulas, and visualizations in Excel.
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
Analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
