Real Estate Asset ManagementThe Senior Director, Real Estate Asset Management job is responsible for maximizing the value of the organization's real estate portfolio through the execution of managing, development, and dispositions of diversified, domestic real estate investments. With limited oversight from senior management, this job manages large projects and/or teams that achieve superior returns on real estate assets through active management and leasing while operating in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Manages a portfolio of real estate assets within a specific sector focus, such as multifamily affordable housing.
Participate in investment activities during the asset life cycle including acquisitions, stabilization, recapitalizations and conversions.
Participates in negotiations for property management, including property service contracts and construction contracts.
Provides input into the investment strategies and implement business plans for a significant portfolio of real estate investments, usually covering more than one region or geographical market.
Implements organization initiatives, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) at the asset level.
Manages risk through close interaction and management of property, construction managers, resident relationships and other third party consulting relationships.
Possesses advanced knowledge of current real estate market conditions for the assigned submarkets / regions.
Ensures property performance contributes to portfolio performance that beats the applicable KPI benchmark and investment objectives.
Communicates to portfolio management and business partners timely and accurate reports on the company's real estate management strategy and performance.
Conduct site evaluations as needed.
