As an Applied Scientist at AFX, you will be at the forefront of inventing AI-driven software tools that empower our field teams to win opportunities and generate revenue for AWS. Drawing your knowledge of large language models and other deep learning architectures, you'll develop novel approaches to automate and enhance complex sales workflows. You will work with a team of passionate scientists and machine learning engineers to design, develop, and improve generative AI and traditional ML models. You will collaborate with multiple product and software engineering teams on building those models into live software products and features.
Key Job Responsibilities
Devise novel ways to build and use AI inside applications.
Invent algorithms for processing big structured and unstructured data sets and extract deep insights from them.
Lead and mentor other scientists.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver intelligent, feature-rich software.
Build your models and innovative solutions into intelligent products that deliver for our customers.

Minimum Requirements
PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience.
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization.
