Summary: At SAP, we integrate AI technology with extensive industry-specific data and deep process knowledge to create innovative AI capabilities for all SAP applications. Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. However, their limited ability to leverage tabular data leaves a considerable share of enterprise data untapped. It is SAP's mission to overcome this challenge within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to adapt Foundation Models to SAP data, enabling our clients to solve their business processes more effectively. The Role: Collaborate with senior AI scientists to research and develop novel approaches for building Foundation Models for structured data. Design and implement scalable algorithms and architectures to process and analyze large-scale structured datasets efficiently. Conduct experiments and perform rigorous evaluations to measure the performance and effectiveness of the developed models. Optimize and fine-tune models to improve accuracy, scalability, and interpretability. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field of Deep Learning, Foundational Models, and Generative AI. What you bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines. PhD is a plus. Experience with Foundation Models, LLM and their application in a business context. Solid understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, particularly in the context of structured data. Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar. Ideally, professional experience with Machine Learning on structured data such as in the ERP or CRM domain. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural teams. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
