The Senior Accountant will play an important role on the Team supporting the company's growth by working closely with Finance, Restaurant Operations, Marketing, IT, Development, and Facilities to ensure accurate accounting, recording, and reporting of all revenue, expense, and balance sheet items.Responsibilities:Manage and support 3rd party delivery vendors transactions and reconciliationsPrepare and submit Sales and Use tax filingsResponsible for Lease Accounting and Fixed AssetsKey player in period end Close process – journal entries, accruals, etc.Analyze accounts and financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller’s attentionPrepare various analytics in comparison to Trends, Forecast and BudgetPrepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceTrouble-shoot issues related to restaurant-level financial schedules with Operations (General Manager, Director of Operations, and Chief Operations Officer)Partner and work cross functionally with all departments within the BusinessProvide support for internal and external audits to ensure compliancePerform other essential duties and various special projects as neededUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, etc.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required – CPA preferred but not required3+ years of progressively responsible experience in accountingStrong analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in ExcelStrong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, accrual basis accounting, and financial reportingExperience with NetSuite a plusEmbrace and drive change with a proven ability to develop, drive, and implement process improvementsPassionate and determined personality with a desire to grow with the companyAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing to meet deadlinesStrong team player and ability to work effectively as a team member in resolving problemsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExperience in restaurant and/or multi-unit retail company a plus
