Job Description
The
President's Ensemble
was created at the request of President Farvardin, to perform at important campus events. The group is primarily a cappella, to maximize portability, and maintains a small repertoire of upbeat, generally modern vocal arrangements.
The role of the
President's Ensemble Director
is to audition, rehearse, and prepare the President's Ensemble for scheduled performances, while providing musical guidance and sharing professional experience with our students.
Rehearsals will be arranged prior to performances and to maintain the repertoire, as needed. The Director is not necessarily required at performances, as the student members are chosen for independence and responsibility in addition to vocal quality.
Schedule and hours will vary with the need.
Support for the role, including rehearsal space, music, arrangements, etc., will be provided by DeBaun Performing Arts Center.
Experience directing vocal ensembles and working with university students is key for the role.
