Allianz US Life
Continuous Improvement Director| Hybrid
Allianz US Life, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, 55400
At Allianz Life, we are guided by our mission – we secure your future – and by our common goal of caring for tomorrow. We care for our employees by promoting an inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to grow and be rewarded for their success. We care for our customers by creating new products that help them protect their families and pursue their retirement goals. We care for our community by giving time, resources, and donations. And we care for the future by supporting sustainability, protecting the local environment, and promoting societal equity.
Achieving real and lasting process transformation is dependent on creating a culture of excellence where adoption of lean management and continuous process improvement practices are part of how team members drive change and results on an ongoing basis. A strong operations excellence practice combines process improvement with strong change leadership practices so that process leaders and employees can be empowered with new skills and passion to drive measurable operational outcomes and long-term business scalability and sustainability. The CI Program Director questions the current state and facilitates a strategic dialog with key process leaders and stakeholders to determine whether processes should be improved, eliminated, or transformed. The CI Program Director will assess the impact of process improvements and process leadership culture and proactively engage the operations in laying a foundation of process excellence mindsets and driving process results via process improvement tool application or improved process management practices. CI Program Director will play a key role in ensuring that process capabilities built and deployed through the Enterprise Operations Transformation Program are deployed, maintained, and continuously improved over the longer term. You will report to the Operations Senior Director-Deliver.
What you do:

Mentors process improvement efforts and practitioners to drive measurable results and lasting improvement. Collaboratively develops change leadership skills and bench strength within those that own and work on business processes; partnering with them to design solutions for near/long-term process performance improvements and work force engagement success. Customize how and where continuous improvement is applied to improve organizational and process outcomes.
Fosters Guiding Coalitions to drive specific productivity improvements. Engages and unleashes business teams so improvements and end-to-end process improvement discipline is owned and embraced by process owners and employees.
Creates program awareness and buy-in across the COO and key stakeholder areas for the process improvement approach, methodology and tools, so there is pull for the approach, and the number of in-line active practitioners with strong process improvement expertise increases over time.
Facilitates and fosters customized and standard training on the subjects of improved execution e.g. Lean, Lean Six Sigma, OPEX (operations excellence), and change leadership.
Creates and maintains a results measurement and verification process and maintains results-oriented standards of attainment for Black and Blue Belt Certification. Partners with business operations and other stakeholder areas to ensure project results are certified, that front line staff and leaders earning blue/black belts meet or exceed industry standards to enrich the reputation and value of Allianz and its improvement discipline. Directly supports and fosters productivity agenda, as well as key talent development opportunities.
