A reasonable estimate for a full-time position is $115,000 - 250,300.Percent Time:

Variable (0-100%), the appointments' percentage of time will depend on the level of engagement of the positions' activities in research, teaching, and service.Anticipated Start:

This recruitment is valid for initial appointments effective August 2024 through August 2025.

The Technology and Information Management Program under the Baskin School of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of assistant adjunct professors and associate adjunct professors. Adjunct faculty members are expected to engage in research or other creative activity, teaching, and university and public service. Appointments in this series may be assigned to academic scholars currently affiliated with other universities or to qualified individuals who are professional practitioners of appropriate distinction when such an affiliation supports the academic and professional endeavors of the department. These appointments forge closer relations between the university and other academic institutions or industry, are frequently self-funded, and involve a limited length of service. Academically qualified research or other creative personnel who contribute significantly to teaching either in formal courses or in guidance of graduate students in one or more of the areas below are encouraged to apply. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity of scholarly activity and add additional dimension to the Baskin School of Engineering by complementing or augmenting our existing research strengths.Current subject matter areas within Technology Management include, but are not limited to, product management, product development, innovation and entrepreneurship, supply chain management, financial engineering, operations research, information technology, software engineering, data mining, information retrieval, and machine learning.UC Santa Cruz is the University of California campus nearest to Silicon Valley and maintains close ties with local industry in the fields of computer science/engineering and technology management. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and/or service.Qualifications
