R&D Scientist

This R&D Scientist will work M-F in office and lab. There is a team of one with great autonomy to lead R&D projects, working closely with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
Take charge mindset and understands performing under pressure of short term timelines. Ownership of the lab, scrappy and role up the sleeves attitude.
Works with sales, procurement, customers, leadership, quality, regulatory, and packaging.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Design formulas to meet customer specifications, recipe analysis, shelf stability, sensory evaluation, nutrition analysis and compliance labeling.
Taking products from concept to commercialization within budget and on time.
Communication to internal and external cross-functional team members including leadership, marketing, sales, production, quality, regulatory, and valued customers.
Day to day ownership of lab and kitchen, while touching base with members in quality, packaging, and regulatory.
Leads innovation strategies and improvement projects related to product offerings in regard to flavor, texture, ingredient functionality, shelf stability, physical and chemical composition.
