Are you looking to develop and grow your business development skills within the spatial computing and gaming industries? We are seeking a Senior Associate of Business Development to support our business needs across Niantic’s games and platform. You will play a critical role in leading vendor relationships, completing contracts, particularly for SaaS products and services that support Niantic’s operations, while developing into a role that supports our strategic partnerships.You will work closely with various internal partners, including legal, finance, marketing, procurement, operations, product and the game teams, to ensure smooth vendor deal management and deal execution. Over time, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior members of the business development team, providing support for larger strategic partnerships that drive growth for our gaming portfolio and AR platform.Responsibilities
Develop, negotiate and complete a variety of deal types that may include vendor deals (SaaS agreements), marketing partnerships, and/or licensing deals.Maintain and nurture relationships with vendors, agencies, and/or partners.Assist in reviewing vendor proposals, pricing models, and terms of service.Support senior team members on strategic partnership initiatives, gradually transitioning into larger deal involvement over time.Provide regular updates on partnership performance and deal outcomes to key stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.Required in-office 2 days a week to collaborate with the team.Qualifications
JD or MBA with 2+ years of relevant job experience (e.g. strategic partnerships, business development).Proficient in communication (both verbal and written) and negotiation, demonstrating an acute attention to detail when reviewing contracts and deal terms.An ability to initiate and interpret legal documents while working with attorneys.Strong cross-functional leadership and diplomatic problem solving with a track record of aligning internal teams.Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including asynchronous interactions with others.The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $138,600 - $154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
