THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a full-time
Executive Director of Sales
to join our Sales team reporting to the
Vice President of Sales . This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.
The
Executive Director of Sales
will have supervisory responsibility for department team members and will serve as the operational anchor of the Sales organization, ensuring the successful execution of Silvus' current fiscal year sales plan and driving efficiencies across sales processes. This inwardly focused, tactically oriented leader will be responsible for meeting near-term booking goals, refining CRM utilization, and implementing tools and workflows that enhance sales productivity. By overseeing the mechanics and processes that drive day-to-day operations, this role will empower the Vice President of Sales to focus on long-term growth, strategic positioning, and high-level customer engagements. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, process-driven leader with a track record of operational excellence, enabling the Sales team to perform at its best and align with Silvus' broader objectives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Co-Develop and Execute Sales Plan : Partner with the VP of Sales and Senior Directors to co-develop the annual sales plan, with primary responsibility for executing the current fiscal year plan to achieve near-term bookings goals.
Drive Operational Excellence : Lead initiatives to improve CRM utilization, ensure forecast accuracy, and oversee the implementation of new sales tools and processes that drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Optimize Sales Workflows and Processes : Create, refine, and enforce streamlined sales workflows to ensure an efficient, effective, and scalable sales operation.
Supervise and Mentor the Sales Team : Oversee the global sales team, providing hands-on management and mentorship to foster operational efficiencies and apply account-based tactics.
Align Sales and Operations : Serve as the primary liaison between the sales and operations teams, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment with company-wide goals and cross-departmental initiatives.
Sales Performance Tracking and Reporting : Develop and maintain real-time tracking systems and performance metrics to monitor progress toward goals and adjust tactics as needed.
Champion Data-Driven Improvements : Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for process improvements and to provide actionable insights for the sales leadership team.
Support Territory and Account Planning : Facilitate the tactical aspects of territory management and account planning, enabling the sales team to focus on customer engagements.
Enforce Consistent Sales Methodologies : Implement and ensure adherence to standardized sales methodologies, enhancing sales efficiency and improving the predictability of outcomes.
Manage Sales Enablement Resources : Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure the sales team has the resources, training, and tools needed to engage effectively with customers.
Lead Near-Term Strategy Execution : Own the tactical execution of the current fiscal year's strategy, while continuously refining processes to support both short- and long-term organizational goals.
Travel : May require up to 1-2 weeks of travel per month.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of demonstrated experience leading a sales team in B2B/B2G (commercial/government) environment.
Sales leadership/management experience within MANET technology or related fields.
Currently hold US Government clearance at SECRET level; OR have the ability to obtain a SECRET US Government security clearance within 12 months of the start date.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
Military/aerospace industry and acquisition experience.
Experience with program management.
