Twitter .The OpportunityAs the Director of HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research), you will help support the advancement of our early and late phase programs. In this leadership role, you will identify, influence and support priority initiatives and contribute to a high-functioning organization. You will implement and manage HEOR strategies and tactics, ensuring our therapeutics are differentiated and bring value to patients.What You Will ContributeLead the process for establishing value development plans (VDP). Demonstrate and communicate the value of Avidity’s programs to relevant audiences.Implement global HEOR strategies and programs; optimize access, reimbursement and uptake throughout the lifecycle of Avidity products.Lead and manage multiple teams of research professionals performing disease management, comparative effectiveness, pharmacoeconomic, PRO assessment and HEOR for payors, physicians and other relevant Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies.Provide HEOR expertise and leadership to inform, support and strengthen commercialization activities, along with clinical development, marketing, and market access.Provide input on trial design to support eventual HEOR modeling and value positioning.Identify global HEOR evidence requirements and gaps; design, conduct and deliver studies, models, and tools to support value demonstration and product differentiation for assigned indication(s).Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry regulatory issues and research relationships with HEOR KOLs.Monitor and assess the progress status of ongoing real-world observational research projects; ensure high quality standards and on-time delivery within budget for all stages of the research.Facilitate implementation of innovative approaches and increase operational efficiency by close monitoring of the operating procedures and strategies for research.Serve as primary oversight and point of escalation of research protocols, analysis plans, and study reports.Provide functional/technical guidance and support for all researchers in assigned studies.Provide guidance and direct input in addressing relevant issues from regulatory, legal, or other challenges to the company's studies and represent the company in key regulatory/HTA meetings.Provide departmental leadership in achieving visions and goals, including driving process improvement initiatives and enhancement of technical capabilities.Collaborate with leadership in developing short and long-range business initiatives and goals.Collaborate with study teams to resolve all issues and concerns and provide support and resources to research project teams.What We Seek10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or managed care, including 6 years’ practical HEOR experience.6+ years' experience in a management or leadership role.Advanced degree related to medical, health economics, health outcomes research, or epidemiology (MS, MBA, MPH, MD/DO, PhD, PharmD) is required.Understanding of HEOR assessments and technical expertise in design and execution of HEOR studies and economic models.Broad and thorough understanding of research methodology, Electronic Health Records (EHR), claims data, basic applied statistical methods, and clinical trial methodology with the ability to critically analyze and interpret medical and scientific evidence.Understanding of healthcare systems and reimbursement processes/decision making.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate technical and non-technical content across multiple stakeholders.Healthcare experience and knowledge of real-world data sources required.Strong quantitative analytical skills, business acumen and insight, with the ability to understand and synthesize data from various sources, work around data limitations, and form impactful judgments and insights.Expertise in and active leadership of healthcare, safety, regulatory, and/or compliance process improvement initiatives.Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in outputs.Close collaboration across multiple disciplines with both internal and external partners; must align tightly with executives, life science partners, researchers, biostatisticians and other medical and operational services to promote an environment of superior quality and timeliness in deliverables.Ability to interpret complex data, leverage information for business decision-making, and develop/translate data into actionable recommendations.Adept at managing expectations in internal and external facing roles.What We Will Provide To YouThe base salary range for this role is $228,100- $252,100. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
