The Vice President of Operations is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Vice President of Operations will lead and mentor the Company operations leaders. The Vice President of Operations will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and plan, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the Company and EDP dental practices. The Vice President’s work will result in optimized operations and identification and implementation of cost-effective systems and solutions to meet the current and evolving needs of the organization.
Vice President of Operations Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives. Oversees operational activities of the company. Develops, leads, and mentors operational leaders. Ensures operations team leaders and their teams are properly trained. Responsible for ensuring operational leadership and their teams have easy electronic access to revenue cycle metrics relating to the centers. Responsible for ensuring we have metrics and goals to measure performance that are well communicated and administered. Identifies, recommends, and implements cost-effective processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision. Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution. Develops process and workflow messaging for the field, ensuring that all communications to the practices are understandable, accurate, and consistent. Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects. Collaborates with finance to establish operations and facilities budgets and administers the budgets. Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Executive Leadership Team and/or the Board of Directors. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management. Performs other related duties as assigned. Ideal Candidates will:

Excellent project planning skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the dental industry. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience:
MBA preferred, or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or other healthcare-related field required. At least 10 years of healthcare-related experience including 5 years in upper management/relevant leadership role required. Physical Requirements:
