About the Role
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of our supply chain. This role combines deep market analytics with strategic supply chain management to build and optimize a robust supply chain framework. You will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with our long-term business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement a long-term supply chain strategy aligned with business goals. Use market analytics to anticipate trends and guide strategic decision-making.
Formulate and execute sourcing strategies based on comprehensive industry analysis, competitive research, and business intelligence.
Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Customer teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities with project requirements and business objectives.
Develop and manage key performance metrics and internal reporting systems. Use data-driven insights to drive improvements and support program delivery.
Lead the Supply Chain team including purchasing, warehouse, and logistics.
Develop and negotiate complex supplier agreements to drive cost-effective and timely delivery of components.
Balance on-time delivery, inventory levels, cost, and quality through continuous evaluation and improvement of supply chain processes.
Establish and refine the supply chain framework to support new product introduction and adapt to evolving market conditions.
Promote the principle of concurrent engineering, by organizing, and leading early supplier selection, Co-Design, Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly approaches
Conduct evaluation of supplier proposals and put forward recommendations to achieve project expectations and a flawless EIS.

Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or industry related field
Minimum of 10 years of business experience, including 3 years of aerospace supply chain experience
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a passion for continuous improvement and a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Proven experience in negotiating large, complex agreements and managing supplier relationships.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans with a focus on market analytics and supply chain optimization.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
Successful track record leading projects from idea to execution and a passion for continuous improvement in areas such as lead-time reduction; cost reduction; quality improvement, etc.
Experience successfully implementing and using ERP systems.
Experience working with quality requirements and regulations (AS9100, etc.)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiations and stakeholder management.

This position's approximate base salary range is $140,000.00 – 180,000.00 per year, depending on years of experience and level of education
