Position Summary
International Ministries is seeking a strategic, creative non-profit advancement professional to lead the funding efforts of the organization. The Chief Advancement Officer will manage a capital campaign to secure ongoing funding and lead outreach with potential grants and corporate philanthropic funding. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and is expected to work collaboratively with donors, prospects, and peers.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Donor Acquisition and Management
The Chief Advancement Officer will be responsible for all donor activities, including:Collaborating with the CIO to analyze data and identify untapped opportunities.Giving overall direction to the Development team.Developing and guiding the overall donor strategy.Supporting Global Servants in their fundraising programs.Leading the ongoing use and development of Salesforce.
Minimum Qualifications:At least 7-10 years of fundraising experience with demonstrated growth in donor engagement.Experience managing capital campaigns.Track record in gifts/campaign fundraising.Experience closing corporate gifts.Development experience in a faith-based non-profit environment.Demonstrated use of social media to maximize donor relationships.Expertise in using data to track and analyze donor trends.
Grants/Corporate Funding
The Chief Advancement Officer will:Assess the current capacity of the development team for grant outreach.Work with the corporate funding consultant to construct an active program of corporate solicitation.
Minimum Qualifications:Understanding of the grant process.Demonstrated success in securing grants.Experience managing grant reporting and follow-up.
Additional QualificationsAbility to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.Effective communication skills with multiple audiences.Skilled relationship building and team supervision.Willingness to travel domestically.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is $130,000 and includes a wide range of benefits, including retirement, health, and generous time off.
