Excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Corporate Real Estate professional to be part of Turner & Townsend’s growing Program Management team in Washington D.C.Turner & Townsend is in search of an ambitious and diligent Program Manager to manage a portfolio of projects within the Americas. You will be tasked by our client with managing multiple projects as part of a wider capital investment plan; being the primary escalation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent and globally aligned processes and playbooks, and overseeing the governance, controls, and execution of the associated capital projects.Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development and approval of the strategic business case prepared for and covering all projects or programs within execution and delivery scope.Responsible for the definition and the fulfillment of benefits, objectives and realization, success criteria aligned to the approved strategic business case.Responsible for gathering, recording and the agreement thereof of the execution and delivery scope requirements documented in an overall program charter or execution plan.Responsible for the analysis, prioritization, and control of projects and programs in line with the strategic objectives and team and organizations capacity to deliver.Responsible for producing collateral that supports key decision-making relating to program and project prioritization.Responsible for the management of the intake process and the adoption of new projects or programs as part of the strategic business case or capital investment plan.Responsible for identifying strategic portfolio and program stakeholders, maintaining communication, influencing stakeholder involvement, and obtaining input as required.Responsible for influencing the use of the defined process and procedures by the execution teams as part of their delivery approach at each phase of the project or program.Responsible for gathering design requirements of the client, end user and stakeholders and documenting in a project or program specific brief as part of the initial definition phase.Responsible for identifying delivery and execution stakeholders, maintaining communication, influencing stakeholder involvement, and obtaining input as required.Responsible for the day-to-day stakeholder interface assuring that projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality targets.Responsible for obtaining all project funding required prior to the initiation of capital works aligned to governance structure.Responsible for the coordination of submission and the obtainment of planning consents, permits and authorizations carried out in a systematic and planned manner.Responsible for the contracting strategy which considers all aspects of the requirements and that motivates performance and assures the delivery of required outcomes.Responsible for the procurement approach that is objectively managed and leverages data as part of pre-qualification, tender and evaluation through to contract award.Responsible for managing that obligations within the contract are delivered in a planned and organized way.Responsible for managing a detailed control schedule that is developed in accordance with a master schedule.Responsible for monitoring connected projects risks and opportunities and assessment of their cost and schedule impact.Responsible for the management, identification, and implementation of connected projects mitigation plans identified for critical risks and opportunities.Responsible for managing the process for handing projects over to operational teams in an effective integrated manner.Responsible for the management of the efficient close out of a project including an analysis of outturn cost, schedule, and lessons learned exercise used to inform future projects.Responsible for the management, identification and implementation of strategic and program improvement initiatives, lessons learnt and best practice.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related technical field.Proven record of successfully implementing processes and procedures on construction projects or programs.Experience with managing a program of connected projects successfully with a collective value of $50M to $100M.Competent user of data management software and systems for data management, analytics, and quality assurance.Self-motivated and dependable. Must have the ability to prioritize workload and be organizationally astute.Demonstrate experience communicating and managing with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as design teams, client corporate real estate teams and contractors.Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete and present program reports to Clients and articulate progress, change, key risks, issues, and critical factors in a concise manner.Ability to work in an agile manner with other stakeholders in a dispersed multi-disciplined environment, contributing to teamwork and a willingness to work in a spirit of partnership.Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, with an ability to develop, communicate and gain ownership for a clear vision and direction.An articulate leader with business insight to balance commercial objectives against program compliance requirements.Requires the ability to lead a team to setup, mobilize and deliver a capital investment plan, program, or pipeline of connected projects.Requires the ability to successfully lead the planning, development and execution of a program or a pipeline of connected projects.Demonstrable senior program or project management experience of complex multifaceted projects, including design management, performance management of contracts and optimizing the procurement process.Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is
$135K-$160K
per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
