Position Summary

With the continuing growth of Chord Energy, this individual will be responsible for commercial business development of Chord Energy midstream assets in the Williston Basin. Primary focus will be optimizing current Chord Energy midstream assets, accessing the potential of building new midstream assets, and looking to acquire existing midstream assets. This individual will also be involved in leading deals for crude gathering and produced water gathering and disposal with 3rd party midstream companies for Chord operated production. The position requires the vision to grow and expand Chord midstream assets business in a way that brings greater value to Chord Energy. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX with travel requirements to meet with 3rd Party Producers, Midstream companies, and field operations. A hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.Essential Job Functions

Develop a strategic business plan for produced water gathering and disposal, freshwater and reuse of produced water, crude oil gathering, and gas gathering and processing that leverages our existing assets.Lead the effort in developing key relationships with third party producers and downstream midstream business partners.Establish a dialogue with producers and other third-party entities that fosters a positive growth environment for the Midstream business.Negotiate and draft required contracts associated with the Chord Business Development efforts.Work closely with the Chord asset team to understand the development schedule and run analysis of midstream opportunities.Lead negotiations with 3rd party midstreams and 3rd party producers.Present projects and interact effectively with the Chord Energy management team.Establish goals, objectives, strategies, economics, and budget requirements for developing new midstream business.Establish strategic long-term goals for growing Chord Midstream assets over the next 5 to 10 years.Additional duties as requested based on Company needs.This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or business development background.15 years of industry experience or similar.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.Ability to work with internal and external contacts.Positive, self-starting attitude.Ability to travel as needed.Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company.Ability to meet deadlines.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
