Role Overview:The Director of Strategy at Read will be a critical player in shaping the company’s strategic vision and driving execution against key operational goals. This individual will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, optimizing business performance, and ensuring that Read expands its presence as a leader in the market. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, financial acumen, and hands-on experience in converting PLG to enterprise scale.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement corporate strategies that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across the organization.Market Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA):
Collaborate with finance teams to build robust financial models and forecasts.Revenue Management:
Plan, launch, and optimize product monetization and revenue operations.Performance Monitoring:
Establish KPIs and other metrics to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as needed.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product, marketing, operations, and engineering teams to align on company-wide goals and strategies.Leadership:
Provide mentorship and guidance to the organization on the key dials to measure and optimize against, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Experience:
At least 7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in a strong strategy, insights, or financial environment.RevOps:
Proven experience building and creating winning RevOps strategies.Industry Background:
At least 3+ years of experience in an operating B2C2B company, preferably in a digital company, leveraging product-led growth and enterprise sales.Focus on Scale:
Experience in a startup environment where you successfully navigated the complexities of scaling revenue into the millions, showcasing a talent for driving significant growth.Data Orientation:
Strong data-first orientation and background, with a deep understanding of how to leverage data to drive strategic decisions.Vertical Expertise:
Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FPA) and strategy, with a focus on operational excellence rather than pure accounting.Preferred Qualifications:Education:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.Skills:
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Cultural Add:
