Need a Functional Business Analyst that has worked in a BI/DW team. This candidate needs to understand this environment in order to gather and create required documentation.Job Responsibilities:
Apex Systems has an immediate need for an SAP BI / BOBJ Functional Analyst for our client's 2017 Business Intelligence Initiative Program. The initiative includes work streams to stand up a SQL Server Data Mart environment for data exploration and functional analytics; empower business users to have minimal IT dependency with more self-service analytics, and establish a dashboard manufacturing model by following the Agile project methodology.Resource will act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements.Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. May develop systems test plan components and test scripts.May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of business analyst experienceMust have a keen understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and technologyMust have experience with Business Intelligence solutionsUnderstanding of both the Waterfall and Agile project methodologiesMust be able to analyze and validate data in SAP Business WarehouseExperience creating queries in SAP Business WarehouseStrong BI strategic and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong requirements gathering skillsMust be able to work against tight project deadlinesPreferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft SQL ServerKnowledge of Ab Initio or other metadata and application integration softwareKnowledge of SAP Business Objects security access levelsAdditional Information
