Job Title: Lead, Supplier Development Engineer Job Code: 17268 Job Location: USA Mason, OH Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: The Mason Space & Sensors Supplier Development Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager, Supplier Quality. The Supplier Development Engineer will work closely with the Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to implement supplier improvement strategies with a defined deck of suppliers, driving a preventive, zero defect culture of quality, supplier excellence and customer satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities Collaborate with Supply Chain to lead commodity sourcing strategies that can withstand business disruption. Work with Supply Chain to lead complex Get to Green initiatives. Support division with new supplier assessments, source inspections, FAI’s, SCAR’s as required. Manage Supplier ZDP and APQP processes. Implement IMS policies, procedures and standards for site Supplier Quality that drive a preventive, zero defect culture of quality, supplier excellence and customer satisfaction. Lead systemic supplier improvement actions for site to reduce non-conformances, reduce COPQ, improve on-time-delivery, and prevent supplier escapes. Lead RCCA activities for systemic quality issues and complete on-site corrective action validation and effectiveness Train, mentor and evaluate Supplier RCCA responses for robustness. Conduct Quality Management System assessments at suppliers. Deliver quality tools training to our supply base and our internal Supplier Quality professionals. Travel to Supplier sites within the U.S. as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field with 9+ years of experience Experience working with suppliers in supplier development, supply chain and/or quality role(s) Subject Matter Expert in Zero Defect Plans including data analysis, supplier reactive work and supplier proactive work. Proven problem-solving experience including use of tools such as 8D and 6 Sigma. Proven experience using APQP, SPC, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Lean Manufacturing concepts. AS9100 / ISO9001 quality system and process audit experience required. FAI/AS9102 experience Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to travel as required, up to 50% Facility requires United States Citizenship Preferred Qualifications: ASQ certification(s) Experience with manufacturing special processes Six Sigma Black Belt, RedX, Lean Manufacturing experience and certification
