Full-time, Exempt How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to serve as the Associate Officer for the Technical Strategy & Innovation (TSI) team, providing analysis, documentation, and programmatic support. The TSI team provides support to EGPAF’s country and global programs in HIV prevention, care and treatment, tuberculosis, COVID19 pandemic response, advanced HIV disease, maternal and child health, community engagement, and health systems strengthening (HSS). This unit is responsible for defining EGPAF’s technical strategies, development and implementation of catalytic projects, technical priorities, innovation and providing high-quality assistance to EGPAF’s country programs to implement HIV, MCH and HSS programs at more than 5,000 health facilities worldwide and explore entry into new countries. No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role? Lead documentation of best practices and innovations taking place in country and help facilitate south-to-south learning and enhanced knowledge sharing to internal and external audiences. Periodic review of data and working with TSI team members to develop program briefs or related documents. Periodic literature search to support development of concept note or manuscripts. Lead the documentation review process for the department, ensuring deliverables undergo the necessary technical review. Support in the development and administration of landscape review & analysis from the country team. Collaborate with digital team to analyze and report on metrics using PowerBI. Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of EGPAF’s programs in HIV and related priority technical areas. Support the development & piloting of technical tools, working with country teams to ensure tools are feasible and appropriate for country needs. Liaise with TSI team members and country-based technical staff to design high-impact programs and technical assistance activities. Contribute to design and development of EGPAF programs, in collaboration with research, evaluation, and program teams. Point of contact for the TSI team for interns. Develop and review presentations, meeting reports, and other documents as needed. Occasionally provide support for organizing international conferences and travel reimbursements for the Vice President, Technical Strategies and Innovation. To be successful, you will have: 2-4 years of relevant experience in HIV/TB, public health or related field. Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development or related field. Experience supporting HIV/TB program implementation. Excellent oral and written communication skills, public speaking skills, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and understanding of HIV, TB, or other infectious diseases in Africa. Ability to work across multiple country contexts and within a culturally diverse environment. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Ability to coordinate, monitor, and track multiple and complex projects simultaneously. Ability to travel, if needed. Bonus points if you have: French or Portuguese language skills. Salary Range The expected salary range for this position is $48,000 – $61,000 annually in the Washington, DC Metro area. This position is exempt and paid a salary. For US-based remote staff, EGPAF uses geographical ranges that are based on the candidate’s location and the associated cost of labor. Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as qualifications, experience and training, education and certifications, internal equity, external market data, and budget.
