As the Senior Vice President – General Manager Texas Region, this pivotal role is responsible for driving the operational and strategic initiatives of the Houston Market. The GM will oversee multiple functional areas including, D2D sales, Community and Events, Facility/Warehouse, and field services, ensuring that they operate efficiently and in alignment with the company’s broader goals. This leadership role requires a balance of high-level strategic thinking, hands-on management, and an ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration. The GM will be instrumental in guiding regional growth, optimizing performance, and enhancing profitability, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Set the strategic vision for the Houston market, ensuring operational plans are aligned with the company’s long-term goals. Collaborate with the executive leadership team to adapt strategies as market conditions evolve and guide the regional teams in executing these strategies effectively.Inspire, mentor, and manage teams across diverse departments, promoting collaboration and innovation. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and teamwork to ensure seamless operational integration and alignment with regional and corporate objectives.Ensure that all construction projects and field activities are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. Provide high-level guidance and support to project managers and field teams, ensuring that goals are met in alignment with the company’s strategic priorities.Manage the market budget, making informed decisions on resource allocation to maximize efficiency and return on investment. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where necessary while ensuring that the region remains profitable and within budgetary constraints.Regularly assess the performance of all operational areas, identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation. Provide comprehensive reports to senior management, offering data-driven insights, actionable recommendations, and updates on the region’s progress toward its strategic goals.Ensure that all operations comply with legal requirements, industry regulations, and company policies. Oversee the implementation of quality assurance programs, ensuring that the highest standards are met across all areas of the business, from construction to customer service.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. A master’s degree or additional certifications in leadership, business, or operations would be highly advantageous.Extensive experience (10-15 years) in operations management, with a proven track record of leadership in large, complex environments. Experience in the specific industry relevant to the company (e.g., construction, logistics, or sales operations) is highly desirable, with a demonstrated ability to navigate industry challenges and drive success.A seasoned leader with strong people management skills, capable of leading large teams and inspiring cross-departmental collaboration. Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams, foster talent development, and create a positive and motivating work environment.Expertise in strategic planning and financial management, with the ability to create and execute operational strategies that align with broader company goals. Experience managing large-scale budgets and optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.Demonstrated success in overseeing large-scale projects, from construction to business development initiatives, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget. Strong project management skills, with an emphasis on cross-functional coordination and execution.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience representing the company in regional forums and customer discussions, ensuring positive relationships and successful outcomes.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.

Working Conditions

This role is located at our company headquarters in Houston, Texas.May require occasional travel to other company locations or industry events.Ability to work extended hours during critical projects or emergencies.
