Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivatedProject Manager with Rail (High Speed Rail a bonus!), and Transit experienceto join our North American Infrastructure group in our Los Angeles, CA office.As a successful candidate, you will:Manage the effective utilization of professional/technical staff on assigned projectsPerform technical and contract-related analysis, cost estimating, coordinating and monitoring project assignments by establishing priorities and managing employeesReview and manage projects to ensure completion of work within schedules and budgetsMaintain communication with client regarding the project; forecasting staffing requirements and assisting in development of employee skill requirements needed for projectsPrepare scope of work, monitoring work progress and budgeting throughout assignment; provide analysis of change ordersCoordinate the interaction of all subject matter experts, supporting staff and the subcontractors to accomplish assigned tasks within budget and scheduleMonitor financial performance of projects and make recommendations for corrective actions, when neededDevelop new business opportunitiesAbility to manage and work with our Business Development Staff to prepare successful technical and cost proposalsParticipates in Client interviewsYou bring to the role:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University7 – 10 years of progressive rail vehicle engineering and project management experienceDiverse technical and contract skillsMust possess a solid understanding of Train ControlExcellent written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills are a mustPossess broad-based rail vehicle engineering knowledgeAbility to manage, direct and supervise the work efforts of a professional and technical staff on assigned vehicle projectsDemonstrate strong organizational skills, work well within a teamAbility to travel when requiredThe following skills/experience are a plus (but not required):Professional Engineer (P.E.) RegistrationProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificateCollaborate on exciting projects
