Directs and oversees the Magnet Program. Designs, implements and directs innovative magnet programs to meet the needs of students across the district.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs the operation and strategic direction of the Magnet Department.Develops and implements innovations to magnet programs to ensure continuous improvements of programs across the district. Provides leadership in the development of courses of instruction which integrate curriculum with technology. Evaluates current programs to ensure the needs of the students are being met.Assists in the preparation and administration of funds in accordance with established federal, state and local policies.Plans, manages and develops systematic changes to the Magnet Program. Creates magnet policy and procedures.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

Provides expertise, consultation and/or technical assistance related to magnet programs to principals, magnet coordinators, and upper management across the District. Also serves as an advocate/liaison between the school system and local, state and federal agencies.Coordinates and provides training experiences for site coordinators and teachers.Plans and oversees district-wide magnet program recruitment activities in order to increase enrollment. Responsible for effective communications to provide information regarding magnet programs to parents and the community.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.EDUCATION
