Overview:The Vice President, Product, is a key executive role responsible for overseeing and driving the success of ISACA’s portfolio of learning products and professional certifications. This leader will develop and execute product strategies that drive growth, profitability, and member/customer satisfaction across various market segments and channels. With accountability for both the revenue and profitability of flagship products, the VP will ensure these offerings meet the evolving needs of ISACA’s members and industry professionals worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

Lead the product lifecycle management, from ideation and development through to enhancement and retirement of learning and certification products. Ensure products are aligned with customer (member) priorities, industry trends and ISACA’s goals while maintaining P&L accountability.

Market Expansion:

Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including emerging industries, geographies, and customer segments, to grow ISACA’s global footprint and drive product adoption.

Strategy Development:

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and implement strategic roadmaps that support the organization’s long-term vision and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Execution and Innovation:

Drive product innovation and enhancements that align with market needs, leveraging insights from industry trends, a deep understanding of our members’ needs, and competitor analysis.

Customer Empathy:

Create and present decision proposals based on facts from the market. Host and facilitate customer-centric calls to determine new product needs and existing product enhancements. Create an intentional feedback loop with voice of customer calls and focus groups.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

Work closely with marketing, sales, content, and technology teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support, while aligning with revenue and profitability targets.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance in best practices for product management, including agile methodologies, customer-centric design, and multi-channel growth.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including industry leaders and volunteers, to ensure the association stays ahead of market needs and strengthens its leadership position.

Qualifications:Required Skills & Competencies:

Product Management Expertise:

Deep experience in product lifecycle management, with a focus on learning and certification products, driving growth and meeting customer needs.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking:

Ability to develop clear, actionable strategies using data-driven insights.

Executive Leadership:

Proven ability to influence at all levels, including the C-suite and Board, with strong presentation skills.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Effective in working with diverse teams, including marketing, sales, and technology, to achieve business results.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience in learning, certification, or professional services with an understanding of digital learning trends. Related industry/sector experience will be considered.

Global Perspective:

Capable of managing products for an international audience with an understanding of market nuances and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

15+ years in product management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role in global or matrixed environments.

Skills:

Proven experience in P&L management, product strategy, and product launch processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business or Marketing.

Certifications in Agile Methodology or Pragmatic Marketing.

Experience leading mature and growth product lines.

Experience in a trade association or member-centric organization.
