Leadership and Management:Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Supervise, train, and mentor engineering staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Maintenance and Repair:Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential problems, and implement proactive maintenance measures as needed.
Project Management:Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including renovations, upgrades, and installations.Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, including those related to fire safety, building codes, and environmental regulations.Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program, including regular training, inspections, and emergency preparedness procedures.
Budgeting and Cost Control:Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary limits and that resources are allocated effectively.Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, and implement strategies to optimize operational performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Information
