Recommends plans and actions including competitive or proactive response; the allocation of resources to existing businesses areas; the acquisition of new businesses; and the disposition of existing businesses. Negotiates terms and conditions of business agreements and reviews business development and implementation plans. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization’s business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Manages multiple teams of professionals.Core ResponsibilitiesResponsible for complex and varied financial, economic, competitive and other studies that strategically position products, services, and businesses within markets and industry sectors.Manages complex special studies to top management in areas such as organizational operational effectiveness, organizational or product positioning, and other studies related to the Company's growth and profitability.Maintains and manages the company’s portfolio with the objective of maximizing resources and driving sustainable revenue models.Thought-leader and influencer of strategic plans, agreements and competitive response.Designs and manages programs that address/respond to competitive actions or potential partners inquiries, evaluating business unit and Company objectives with internal investment, partnership opportunities and/or concluding partnership deals.Presents strategic insights and implications (opportunities/threats) for Company in report summaries and in roundtable discussions with top management.Serves as corporate or business unit representative in dealings with legal and with partners on company strategic plans, response, and agreements.Partners with Legal Department to negotiate deals and revenue sharing agreements and respond to any business threats.Helps manage department priorities and serves as liaison to industry associations.Manages, develops and motivates team members to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
