Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated System/Project Manager to join our IT team. This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of both Windows, Linux, and network system infrastructures, and project planning. This role involves a blend of network management, consistent system patching, robust system hardening, and system/software deployment automation.
Essential Functions:
Administer and support daily operations of Windows and Linux servers, and Cisco networking devices ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability
Manage network configurations to optimize performance and ensure security compliance
Implement regular system updates and patches, minimizing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards
Harden systems by configuring and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure
Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in our operational processes
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions
Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Support limited offsite travel, overtime work, and have the ability to move up to 20 pounds
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Minimum 6 years experience as a System/Network Administrator managing an enterprise level domain
Active US TS/SCI security clearance and willing to submit to a CI Polygraph if required
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience supporting LINUX (RedHat REL 7/8, Centos, Ubuntu)
CCNA/CCNP and/or 3 years of experience managing Cisco routers and switches at the enterprise level
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices
Experience supporting software engineering DevOps environment
Experience with VMware or similar virtualization software
Experience with ansible
Experience with Commvault or similar backup system software
Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework
