Founded in 2021, the
Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue (KITDP)
aims to secure freedom from techno-authoritarian threats by accelerating innovation and adoption of trusted tech. The Institute is the preeminent global authority of a new category of Tech Diplomacy, integrating tech expertise, Silicon Valley strategies and foreign policy tools to build the Global Tech Trust Network of governments, companies and individuals united around a set of shared trust principles and a common mission to ensure that technology advances freedom. KITDP is a bipartisan initiative under the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with Purdue University, with offices in West Lafayette, IN and Washington, DC.
The Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue (KITDP) is seeking current students to work with its dynamic team as part of its rolling internship program. Positions are based in our nation’s capital at the Krach Institute Headquarters in the heart of downtown Washington, DC.
The rolling program is intended to last 8-12 weeks with flexibility for start and end dates and hours per week . Interns are compensated at hourly rates commensurate with experience.
The intern in D.C. will focus on marketing and business development for the Institute:Contribute to the development and execution of business strategy, development, marketing and communications for the Krach Institute.Support the Krach Institute’s Tech Diplomacy Academy launch and scaling plan.Work within the Krach Institute systems to keep contacts management data accurate.Work to create and execute a tech and data roadmap.Research and draft proposals for Krach Institute to partner with companies, governments, think tanks, and other universities.Collaborate with staff and fellows on research and special projects relevant to the Krach Institute mission.Provide research and support for virtual and in-person events as needed.Other administrative or research tasks as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A passion for the organization’s mission: advancing freedom through the widespread adoption of trusted technology.A start-up mentality and ability to interact with diverse and senior-level stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Experience using CRM, Salesforce, and data analysis skills highly desired.Proficiency in crafting compelling written and verbal communications for marketing purposes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
