The Incident Response Analyst will be responsible for leading escalated incidents to detect, analyze, respond to, report on, and prevent cybersecurity incidents. The analyst will also be accountable for driving new detection rules into the sensors and establishing new rules based on active threats and suspicious behaviors. This individual must be highly organized and able to manage various incidents.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Lead and Contribute to Cyber Incident Response Efforts: Take charge of the incident response process, from detection through to remediation and post-incident analysis. This includes coordinating with relevant teams to ensure swift action and minimize impact.Develop and Refine Incident Response Protocols: Work on enhancing existing incident response strategies and procedures. This involves staying ahead of emerging threats and ensuring our response capabilities are robust and agile.Conduct Thorough Security Incident Analysis: Analyze security breaches to understand their root cause. Develop solutions and preventative measures to mitigate future risks.Engage in Proactive Threat Hunting and Intelligence Gathering: Participate in proactive efforts to discover potential threats before they manifest as incidents. Utilize cyber threat intelligence to inform decision-making and response strategies.Collaborate on Cross-Functional Projects: Work alongside other cybersecurity teams on projects that enhance AT&T’s overall security posture, including vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and the development of new security technologies.Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cyber Security is preferred, though equivalent experience in cybersecurity incident response will be considered.3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on incident response and threat analysis.Knowledge of Splunk, Sentinel 1, Palo Alto (PAN), Microsoft Defender, Azure, AWS required.Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards as they relate to incident response.Proficiency in security tools and technologies used for incident detection, analysis, and mitigation.Working knowledge of at least 4+ of the following: SIEM technologies, OS hardening, cloud environments, Host Analysis, Network Forensics, Malware Reversing, Intrusion Detection, Anomaly Detection, Threat Research, Threat intelligence, Security alert design, Data analysis.Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week).
