Tenure-track, academic year, teaching/research position in the Department of Human Ecology, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers the State University, New Brunswick, New Jersey with a start date of September 1, 2025.
Candidate will be responsible to:
Develop an interdisciplinary scholarly agenda that furthers the University’s commitment to education, capacity for leading research, and reputation as an academic institution through publishing in high-impact journals and obtaining competitive grants. We are open to candidates in the broad field of sustainability governance but have identified research areas of interest that are: 1) equity and inclusion in sustainability governance 2) private governance 3) sustainable water governance and 4) intersections of health and environment in sustainability governance.
Actively engage in interdisciplinary opportunities within the department, school, and across Rutgers.
Contribute to the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Department of Human Ecology and the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences by teaching courses and mentoring students in areas of sustainability governance and environmental policy.
Cooperate in scholarly activities with faculty and students in departments in other Rutgers schools.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD from an accredited institution in a discipline relevant to the study of the behavioral, social, and political dimensions of sustainability governance.
Evidence of ability to work across disciplines.
Interest in and ability to effectively teach at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Experience in grant-funded research and/or in engagement with diverse organizations and publics.
