Centra has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President (VP) Marketing in Columbus, Indiana. This position is responsible for the strategy and oversight of Centra’s Marketing and Advertising, Corporate Communications, and Member Experience departments. This role coordinates with other lines of business to effectively develop and execute strategies to support the Credit Union’s business plan goals. The VP Marketing maintains oversight of social media strategy, digital marketing, outside advertising, Member Experience strategy and initiatives, sponsorships, company intranet, and project communications. This role also provides strategic recommendations on companywide initiatives, including updates to products and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops and implements an annual Marketing Plan, Member Experience Plan, and Corporate Communications Plan. Creates a budget that focuses on tactics supporting the Credit Union’s business goals surrounding loan, deposit, and Membership growth.
Manages reputational risk, drives brand awareness, and increases positive brand sentiment. Coordinates efforts with the Marketing Team to support these efforts through public relations, social media, and strategic media placements catered toward key audience segments.
Grows and develops the in-house Marketing team and builds a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals to supplement the in-house Marketing Team’s skill set and support growth goals with non-Members and new audiences.
Develops goals and provides strategic oversight to the Director Member Experience for Member Experience program.
Develops goals and provides strategic oversight to the Director Marketing on Corporate Communications strategies and tools. Provide proactive recommendations for continuous improvements to project and company-wide communications.
Manages relationships with Centra’s sales teams and develops customized marketing plans for Mortgage Sales, Centra Financial Services, Commercial and Business Services, and Retail/Branches.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Marketing and Member Experience to achieve goals and objectives. Leadership duties include performance management, training, and development, and demonstrating and cultivating Centra’s Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values.
Conducts research of company performance, industry trends, competitor products and strategy, and campaign performance to provide ongoing strategic recommendations for Marketing, Corporate Communications, and company-wide projects and goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
(Equivalent combination of Education & Experience will be considered.)
Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Preferred Education:
Bachelors or better in Marketing
Equivalent combination education & experience or better
5-8 years related experience or better
