The Materials Science and Engineering department (MSE) is seeking a highly motivated Adjunct Research Professor with extensive expertise in dynamic material characterization of anisotropy in plastic deformation of hcp metallic materials. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in design of innovative experiments, and FE modeling. click here .Duties & Responsibilities

Lead a research project in close collaboration with the PI on characterization and modeling of non-traditionally manufactured materials.Innovate new areas of inquiry and advance materials characterization techniques and data analysis.Lead the verification and validation efforts.Contribute to presentation and dissemination of research findings in technical meetings and peer-reviewed journals.Minimum Qualifications

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.Recognized expertise in innovative research on dynamic material characterization for biaxial loadings.Preferred Qualifications

Postdoctoral experience, and experience in supervising graduate and undergraduate students.Capable of pursuing independent research.Proven record of accomplishments in design of innovative experimental techniques for dynamic loadings under biaxial conditions.Rank:
