Full-Time/ExemptMinimum Qualifications:Possess or currently working towards a Michigan Administrative Certificate (ES)Possess a teacher certification in elementary or early childhood educationSuccessful teaching experience at the Pre-K through 5th grade levelPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in education administrationSuccessful administrative or leadership experience at the elementary (K-5) levelKnowledge of early childhood educationA broad range of experiences in school improvement, site-based management, curriculum, special education, and strategic planningDemonstrated ability to foster and maintain positive relationships and climate with parents, students, staff, colleagues, and the communityExcellent communication and collaborative leadership skillsProficient technological skillsJob Description:Provide leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to all LE personnelHire, train, and evaluate LE personnelModel appropriate techniques for working with children, parents, and staffMaintain a personal professional-development plan to ensure continuous, quality improvementPromote a positive school climate and develop collaborative relationships with staff, students, parents, parent groups, and community organizations to encourage a growth mindset, including implementing Positive Behavior Support (PBIS) systemsImplement and evaluate the basic instructional programPromote, support, and implement the professional learning community (PLC) model for collaboration, inquiry, and research among LE staffWork with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to coordinate/lead professional development for building staffEnsure that teachers understand and deliver instruction through the utilization of the District’s approved curriculum and provide appropriate assessments to ensure student learning and growthSupport and implement academic and behavior Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)Implement Board, State and/or Federal level policies and procedures within the LE and oversee updates to policy and procedure implementation, as neededEnsure that staff members carry out and support district and school policiesProvide necessary supervision of school-sponsored activities, both during and outside of school timeDetermine teaching load and assignmentsLead building staff in administering and interpreting assessments (state and local, STAR, etc.)Prepare the school budget and follow business office standard operating procedures for the procurement and allocation of resources to meet the needs of studentsAttend and participate in building and district meetings, workshops and conferences that contribute to overall student achievement, as appropriateWork collaboratively with district directors and building administratorsPerform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of SchoolsSalary/Benefits:
$82,000-$90,000 and a board paid annuity, commensurate with experience, including a full administrative benefit packageStart Date:
